HiTNI (High TNI Liquid Crystal) is a designation for LCD panels designed to withstand high temperatures, especially direct sunlight exposure. Standard LCDs can experience “blackening” when the liquid crystals exceed their phase-transition threshold (TNI). HiTNI panels use liquid crystals with an elevated TNI, maintaining proper screen appearance even at temperatures up to 105 °C or higher. They are used in information boards, ticket machines, vehicles, and industrial systems operating outdoors, where strong solar radiation and high ambient temperatures are common.
