FPC/FFC tapes are commonly used between LCD-TFT displays, touch sensors, controller boards and main PCBs. Selecting the right cable requires attention to pitch, number of contacts, cable orientation, contact side, length, bend radius and operating conditions. A mismatch in any of these parameters can cause assembly issues or unstable communication.
In industrial devices, the cable must also fit the enclosure and withstand the mechanical constraints of installation. FPC/FFC tapes are typically combined with ZIF connectors and touch screen controllers as part of a complete display integration path.
