Sandwich (Stack Structure)

A sandwich (stack structure) is a layered construction of an electronic module in which components such as an LCD, touch panel, cover glass, backlight, controller, and sometimes additional PCBs are stacked together as one compact unit. The “sandwich” structure allows multiple functions to be integrated into a single module, simplifies device assembly, reduces occupied space, organizes cabling, and lowers the risk of integration errors. Such constructions are used in both consumer electronics (tablets, monitors) and industrial devices, and can be customized as complete ready-to-install modules tailored to customer requirements.
