From November 18–20, 2025, you can meet us in Madrid at the MATELEC trade fair, a key event on the exhibition map for the electrical and electronics industries. You can find us at booth 4B16 in hall P04. We will show you our latest solutions, share our experience, and talk about how display technologies are transforming the modern world.
Table of Contents
MATELEC is an international event organized by IFEMA MADRID, one of the largest trade fair and conference centers in Spain and among the most important in Europe. It is one of the key events for the electrical and electronics sectors, focused on innovation and technology. Last year’s edition attracted 24,000 professional visitors and 550 exhibitors from 65 countries, presenting solutions across 8 industries.
Modern displays for your communication
At our booth, we will showcase a range of display technologies for consumer, commercial, and industrial applications. We will present a wide range of solutions designed with readability, durability, and reliability in mind – exactly what is expected in professional applications.
Among the presented solutions will be a 7-inch LCD-TFT display from Winstar, model WL0F0007000A8GAADSK00. This display offers a high resolution of 1024×600 pixels and brightness of 450 cd/m². It is equipped with a CAN interface and a capacitive touch panel, ensuring fast and intuitive operation. Another advantage of this display is its IP54-rated enclosure, providing protection against dust and water ingress, making it ideal for demanding environmental conditions.
Unisystem’s offer includes displays in non-standard formats, including panoramic – so-called stretch displays. At our booth, we will showcase two such solutions – one in LCD and one in EPD technology. These types of displays are ideal, for example, in transportation (as information boards in vehicles or on platforms) or in retail (as advertising media, including in self-service devices such as vending machines).
Air Bonding vs. Optical Bonding – a practical comparison
One of the key aspects when creating customized solutions is the choice of bonding method between the device’s components – such as the display, touch panel, or protective glass. Two technologies are available in this regard: air bonding and optical bonding. Both can be compared at our booth using two 10.1-inch displays – one with air bonding and the other with optical bonding.
What is the difference between air bonding and optical bonding?
Optical bonding involves filling the space between layers with a transparent adhesive, which significantly reduces light reflections, increases contrast and mechanical durability, and prevents dust and moisture from entering the module. This technology performs perfectly in devices designed for outdoor use or brightly lit interiors.
Air bonding, on the other hand, means joining the layers while leaving a thin air gap between them. It is a more economical solution that, in many cases, fully serves its purpose. However, in strong lighting conditions, it may cause more reflections, affecting screen readability. It is also slightly more susceptible to mechanical damage and dust or moisture ingress.
Our specialists will advise you on which bonding method is best suited to a specific project, taking into account its impact on image quality, readability, and the device’s resistance to external factors.
Unisystem’s proprietary touch button – test it on site
At our booth, you will also be able to test our latest proprietary solution: UCB045-RGB-CMFDV1 – a capacitive touch button designed and manufactured by Unisystem.
Our device was designed for reliable operation in demanding industrial conditions, offering precision, durability, and intuitive operation. It stands out thanks to several practical features:
- precise touch detection through glass up to 4 mm thick, with calibration options for application requirements,
- glove operation for comfort in industrial, medical, or laboratory environments,
- stable operation in the presence of liquids, eliminating accidental activations,
- operating temperature range from -20°C to +70°C,
- light signaling for clear device status identification (e.g. green – activation, red – alarm),
- sound signaling with optional buzzer connection, providing touch confirmation in noisy environments.
The combination of light and sound signals creates an intuitive, multisensory interface that enhances UX.
Demonstrator: EV charger from Winstar
Among the exhibits presented at the fair will be a model of an electric vehicle charger – a Winstar project created to demonstrate the practical use of its components. The device is equipped with an LCD display and an NFC communication module for contactless payment authorization.
Visitors will be able to test the charger themselves and see how its components work together within a modern electromobility infrastructure. This is an excellent example of how display technology and communication solutions can support the development of functional, intuitive, and reliable systems for the EV sector.
