Description

The SpaceSOM-8Mplus SLS35 family is a high-performance SODIMM260 System on Module powered by the NXP i.MX 8M Plus processor - a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 available at 1.6 GHz (industrial grade) or 1.8 GHz (commercial grade) paired with a Cortex-M7 real-time core at 800 MHz and an integrated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) delivering up to 2.3 TOPS for machine-learning and AI workloads.

The module offers configurable LPDDR4 RAM from 1 GB to 4 GB and on-board eMMC storage from 4 GB to 32 GB, with an optional Murata dual-band 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac) and Bluetooth v5.1 module. Three operating-temperature classes are available - consumer (0 to +70 °C), extended (-30 to +85 °C) and industrial (-40 to +85 °C). The full industrial range requires the 1.6 GHz CPU and excludes the on-board Wi-Fi/BT module, while the Wi-Fi/BT variant is supported up to the extended range.

Rich peripheral support includes dual Gigabit Ethernet, USB 2.0/3.0, PCIe 3.0, HDMI, LVDS, MIPI-DSI, MIPI-CSI, CAN-FD, I²C, SPI, UART and multi-channel SAI audio, making the SpaceSOM-8Mplus SLS35 family an ideal building block for industrial IoT, HMI, machine vision, robotics and AI-powered edge devices.
