Sharp – a pioneer in display technology 

Sharp is a Japanese company with over a century of tradition, founded in 1912 in Tokyo. It is one of the global leaders in electronics, with display technologies being its greatest achievement and core specialization. Sharp was the first manufacturer to introduce LCDs into mass production, and today it remains a respected innovator in the field of LCD-TFT.

Recently, Sharp has also expanded its portfolio with solutions based on EPD (Electronic Paper Display) technology. One example is the LP285A6NW01 model – a color e-paper display in A2 format, which also utilizes the IGZO technology. This innovation combines the advantages of electronic paper, such as ultra-low power consumption and excellent readability in sunlight, with the performance benefits of IGZO.
