RT220 – OEM Scan Engine – 2D Barcode Imager

The RT220 is an OEM 2D barcode engine designed as a fixed mount barcode reader. It features M2 screw holes and offers USB HID-KBW, USB virtual com, or RS232 interfaces, making it easy to integrate into various self-service kiosks and terminals. This barcode engine can read 1D and 2D barcodes, including QR codes, Data Matrix codes, PDF417 codes, and Aztec codes, from both paper and phone screens.

The compact design of the RT220 ensures it is easy to embed and integrate into devices. It provides USB or RS232 interface options directly, eliminating the need for extensive system integration programming. The RT220 supports most 1D and 2D code decoding and is equipped with a high-performance processing chip, ensuring high-speed decoding and excellent performance, especially when reading barcodes from phone screens. The engine is easy to program and supports firmware upgrades, offering flexibility with customization.

Launched to meet the needs of customers with more spacious devices who require straightforward integration, the RT220 simplifies the integration process by providing USB or RS232 output directly without the need for an evaluation kit board. The module includes the RT200 barcode scan engine inside, housed in a slightly larger casing for enhanced ease of integration.

The RT220 leverages state-of-the-art CMOS technology and advanced image processing and decoding technology, making it a high-performance OEM 2D barcode scan engine. It excels at reading poorly printed 1D and 2D barcodes and is particularly effective at reading barcodes from mobile phone screens, laptop screens, and tablet screens, such as those on iPads.

As an embedded module, the RT220 is compact and can be widely used in data collection terminals, kiosks, robotic automation, medical instruments, and many other applications. It is the ideal choice for simple embedded, high-performance data collection applications, offering user-friendly features and straightforward integration with USB or RS232 interfaces.
