YouTube API Services – Privacy Notice

Last updated: 16 October 2026

This notice describes how Unisystem Video Publisher, an internal tool of UNISYSTEM Sp. z o.o., ul. Nowy Świat 36, 80-299 Gdańsk, Poland, uses YouTube API Services. The tool is used exclusively by Unisystem’s marketing team to publish Unisystem’s own videos to our YouTube channel @UnisystemPl and to read the viewing statistics of our own videos in order to evaluate the results of promoting them. It is not offered to external users.

YouTube API Services

Unisystem Video Publisher uses YouTube API Services, including the YouTube Data API and the YouTube Analytics API. By using the tool you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Data processed by YouTube and Google is subject to the Google Privacy Policy.

What data the tool accesses

After authorization by our channel manager (Google OAuth 2.0), the tool accesses only our own YouTube channel:

  • basic channel information (channel name and ID, list of our uploaded videos);
  • metadata of our videos: titles, descriptions, tags, language and visibility status;
  • caption (subtitle) tracks of our videos;
  • video and subtitle files that we upload to our channel;
  • aggregated viewing statistics of our videos from the YouTube Analytics API (read-only access, OAuth scope yt-analytics.readonly): the number of views of our channel’s videos, broken down by traffic source type (including views coming from advertising), by day and by video.

The tool does not access other channels, comments, viewers’ personal data or revenue reports. The statistics returned by the YouTube Analytics API are aggregated numbers and do not identify individual viewers.

How the data is used

The channel and video data is used only to upload our own videos to our channel as private, to set and update their titles, descriptions, chapters, tags, language and subtitles, and to verify the result. The tool never changes the visibility of a video; videos are published manually by an employee in YouTube Studio.

The viewing statistics from the YouTube Analytics API are used only by our marketing team, for one purpose: to assess the results of promoting our own videos (how many views of our videos come from advertising, per day and per video, compared with the cost of the promotion). This access is read-only: the tool cannot change anything on our channel through the YouTube Analytics API. We do not use the statistics for any other purpose, and we do not use them to profile or identify viewers.

Storage, sharing and deletion

We do not store, cache, sell or share the channel, video and caption data obtained through YouTube API Services. Information returned by the YouTube Data API is displayed only temporarily in the terminal of the employee running the tool. The tool does not use cookies and does not collect information from users’ devices.

The only data we store is the aggregated viewing statistics obtained from the YouTube Analytics API (view counts by day, traffic source type and video). They are saved in a local snapshot of our marketing data on a company computer used by our marketing team, together with other marketing figures. A copy of that snapshot is uploaded daily to a private storage bucket (Cloudflare R2) read by our internal marketing dashboard; the bucket has no public access, and the dashboard is available only to authorized Unisystem staff after logging in (Cloudflare Access). The statistics are not sold, shared or disclosed to third parties. We keep them only as long as they are needed to evaluate the results of promoting our videos. The tool checks that its access is still authorized every time it collects the statistics. When access is revoked, the tool stops collecting the statistics, and we delete the stored YouTube Analytics statistics, including the copy in the private storage bucket, within 30 days of the revocation.

The OAuth access credential (refresh token) is stored only on a company computer used by our marketing team and is not shared with third parties. It is deleted when access is revoked or when the tool is no longer used.

Revoking access

Access granted to the tool, including access to YouTube Analytics, can be revoked at any time on the Google security settings page: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
