The IDE237 is a Fixed Mount ID Card and Passport Reader designed to efficiently read OCR-B/MRZ and barcodes from ID cards and passports. Featuring a high-resolution 1280*800 CMOS sensor, this scanner offers automatic reading and command trigger functionalities, ensuring accurate and swift data capture.

Performance: The IDE237 is optimized for reading OCR-B MRZ from passports, ID cards, and driver’s licenses at a distance of 15cm-30cm, with the best performance around 20cm. To avoid reflection and improve reading performance, it is recommended to tilt the scanner slightly rather than pointing it directly at the ID card or passport.

The high-resolution imager is capable of reading large and high-density PDF417 codes from ID cards and driver’s licenses, including those from countries like Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Paraguay, Nicaragua, and Panama. The IDE237 also supports reading two barcodes simultaneously, making it suitable for scanning the dual high-density QR codes on the new Mexican ID documents.
