What is an industrial computer?

Touch technology in CNC machines
Modern CNC HMIs combine a display with a touch screen, creating a convenient control panel. They allow users to adjust parameters and programs by simply touching the screen, making operation without physical buttons easier.
Resistive touch screens operate by pressure applied to the screen. They are common in industrial environments because they are resistant to, e.g., dust or temperature differences; they can also be operated with gloves. They allow only one point of contact.
Capacitive touch screens allow multi-touch gestures. They detect the conductivity of the human finger and do not require pressure. They respond to light touch and offer a smooth functioning.
HMI interfaces on CNC machines enable interaction between human operators and machines. They optimize industrial processes digitally, centralize data, and allow for detailed operation monitoring.
