Solutions for transport industry: 48.5-inch LCD-TFTs by Litemax 

Unisystem is now offering new Litemax LCD-TFTs. These 48.5-inch stretch displays are a perfect match for indoor and outdoor transportation applications.

The displays in the 4851-Y series are 48.5-inch LCD-TFTs with a resolution of 1920×360 and 16:3 aspect ratio. Excellent readability, also in intense natural and artificial lighting, is achieved thanks to exquisite optical parameters – brightness (3000 cd/m2), contrast ratio (7700:1), and viewing angles (89°/89°/89°/89°). Their operating temperature range is specified within -20° to 60°C.

Variants of the 4851-Y series

The 4851-Y series includes SSF4851-Y and SSH4851-Y versions, which differ in standard accessories that the manufacturer supplies with the LCD panel.

  • SSF models are equipped only with a LED Driving Board. The limitation in this version is communication only through one interface (LVDS).
  • SSH models are an enhanced version of SSF, with an additional AD Board for video and audio transmission through other interfaces (DVI, HDMI, and DP). 

There are also SSD devices, which can be described as monitors, because all the electronics are located in the enclosure.

Applications for the 4851-Y series

The SSF4851-Y and SSH4851-Y models will work well both in indoor and outdoor applications. Depending on the environmental conditions, it may be necessary to incorporate components to heat or cool the electronics (such as heaters or fans). On top of that, both solutions can be located in sunny places. The hiTNI technology protects the liquid crystals from overheating and reduces the blackening phenomenon. 

The shape of the 4851-Y series is clearly associated with applications in transportation. In this industry, stretch displays are favored due to limited available space, like in the vehicle interiors. For the same reason, they are used in passenger information systems, like screens at train stations or bus stops that display current travelling information.

Moreover, the SSF4851-Y and SSH4851-Y displays can be successfully implemented in other digital signage applications, like in the retail business as a customized advertising content display.
